SCOTT “BUTCH” GUSK president/SHOP FOREMAN
Scott’s interest in making things that “work” started early in his childhood. His first tool bench with its original vice is still in his shop at home. A local entrepreneur recognized Scott’s mechanical aptitude and hired him at age 16. 27 years later, Scott bought his first CNC Mill and started working from his home garage. Soon after, Vision Machine
opened its doors in 2011. With 35 years of experience, Scott’s done it all and his customers know it. If “Butch can’t figure it out, nobody can.”
Scott lives in Grandy, Minnesota with his wife, Deanna and 3 children. He’s an avid land conservationist and tree farmer. In his spare time, he can be seen in his excavator, digging somewhere on the property with his best dog by his side.

Deanna Gusk / Senior Controller
Deanna’s 25 year background is in administration for an optometry group. When Scott needed a partner to run the Finance piece of the business, Deanna was the obvious choice. She’s done it all from material to HR; finance to running a CNC when necessary. Deanna loves her job and takes pride in helping things run smoothly. She enjoys her perennial gardens, volunteering and watching her sons many sporting events.
Jeff Miller / Lathe Department Lead Programmer
Jeff joined Vision Machine recently and brings 30 plus years of CNC work experience. Jeff stepped into Vision Machine’s Lathe Department Lead Position and quickly proved there aren’t many projects that intimidate him! His vast experience with EdgeCam, Blueprint Reading and Trigonometry makes Jeff a perfect fit for the precision turning work Vision Machine is known for. Jeff is Vision Machine’s “go to” individual for the toughest of machining projects. Living "up north", Jeff enjoys fishing, camping and time with his wife Karen.
Jake Remine / Operator
Jake comes to Vision Machine with extensive work experience in a variety of fields. Growing up around the machining industry he has a natural ability with a keen eye for the inspection process. A quick learner with an upbeat personality, Jake wants to learn and is continually gaining knowledge. Jake is a welcome addition to the team and we are excited to build with him as a part of our future.
